No -- your e-mail is already digitally signed (as is all e-mail sent
through GMmail; take a peek at your headers). What *should* happen is
that this list, and others, should start weighting digital signatures --
or, more precisely, lack thereof for domains that have them -- far more
heavily. Personally, I think Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc., should get
together and say that, as of 2/2/2022 (because why not?) they will stop
accepting e-mail that doesn't have some form of signing -- DKIM is
probably the best mechanism. http://dkim.org/ for more info. Would
give everyone two years to get their ducks in a row. And once
*everyone* stopped accepting unsigned e-mail, spam would drop like a
rock. (Doesn't mean you wouldn't get commercial e-mail, but it would be
"legit" e-mail that you'd be able to block if you didn't want, say, the
latest sales stuff from Newegg, because spoofing domains wouldn't be a
thing any more.)
It's honestly a mystery to me why this hasn't already happened.
