Left favorites bar

I can "remove" the top bar with this command:
dbus-send --print-reply --session --type=method_call --dest=org.gnome.Shell
/org/gnome/Shell org.gnome.Shell.Eval string:'Main.panel.actor.hide();'

is there a similar command for the left favorites bar ?
I am looking for a command line way to hide it or remove it.
