I am not an expert. However, I do use HPLIP - it is a collection of
software packages for printing and scanning on Linux computers with Hewlett
Packard Printers/Scanners.

There are various HPLIP related in the Ubuntu software repositories...

On my system, I have these packages installed:- hplip, hplip-data,
hplip-doc, hplip-gui
