Are there any problems with 20.10?

I don't know what got this subject started but I upgraded my laptop to 20 maybe
a month ago and none of the email stuff worked - neomutt or fetchmail for example.
At around the same time, yahoo seems to have changed the login credentials
for its IMAP server so I had to fix that but after than and installing the suggested
updates it seems to work fine now. Also had a weird problem with cameras
as /dev/video1 from Beaver is now apparently /dev/video2 and the "motion" code
changed because I now magically had ffmpeg installed and the defaults
without it failed :) The image quality looks a lot better now likely due to ffmpeg
instead of whatever "motion" uses for static image encoding otherwise.

Anyway, I was curious what apps do for credentials after changing maybe 5 or 6 passwords
in various config files. I already have bash scripts to rewrite config files but was debating
about writing a small command line utility to do this from a template and a variable
file but thought this may exist as something-or-other.

Thanks.

I had used Kmail from when it was first made available but a fault
developed some years later and I switched to Thunderbird. Is there a
compelling reason to switch back to Kmail?

no; i don't think so; thunderbird is really helpful and nice and well-developed, systematically
