mime and web pages

I have a related frustration:   I used KDEconnect to send pages from
phone to laptop, which is a brilliant workflow for my current corona
lifestyle.

It will pop the page it into a firefox tab (a new one), but every now
and then it will open it in Kate !!!!! This baffles me. In kubuntu
(which I use) i can clearly see the browser as the first choice,
although I see more choices. I could remove them all, but kind of don't
want to do this.
