On the 20.04 computer, with using BCC to get a copy sent back to me,
when I clicked the button, each message completely disappeared. I did
not even get a copy in my gmail Sent Mail folder.
When I sent my message above, advising that the messages had (insofar
as I am aware) disappeared without trace, from my 16.04 computer, I
got a copy of that, both in my Sent Mail folder, and in my folder for
messages to and from the mailing list.
There are two variables in play, in this problem; the first is that
the messages that I do not have a copy of, that I sent, were sent from
UbuntuMATE 20.04.x, and, the messages that I sent, of which I have a
copy, were sent from UbuntuMATE 16.04.x, and, the second variable in
play, is that the messages that I do not have a copy of, that I sent,
were sent using, as the web browser, the latest version (from the
Ubuntu repository) of Firefox, and, the messages that I sent, of which
I have a copy, were sent using, as the web browser, midori 0.5.11 .
So, I assume that, as it works with midori 0.5.11 running on
UbuntuMATE 16.04.x , but, not with the latest version of Firefox for
and running on UbuntuMATE 20.04, that it is something to do with the
platform.
Anyway, if the multiple response attempts did get through to the list,
I apologise for the multiplicity - I was just trying to get a response
through, and they each seemed to be simply disappearing.
