I see, that could make using a USB "live" (for want of a better term) Win10 a 
PITA

With Win7 I made the USB, cleaned the junk that I really don't want (made extra 
room on a 16gb USB stick), installed the stuff I really do then (and only then) 
let it update

I do have all my best stuff on a USB HD so I didn't need it to be online until 
I was ready
