first solution for: suggestions for recording video lessons?

I just found guvcview in the standard repositories. Its window has the
top border/bar as all the other windows, but nothing else apart from
that, so it is almost perfect.
So it seems I already have a working setup for my own needs:
1) guvcview to show myself from the webcam, either full screen, or
"picture-in-picture" style in one corner, its window set "always on
top"
2) simplescreenrecorder to capture the session, with both audio from
software I am demoing, and my own voice.
This **should** be enough for my current needs (fingers crossed). But
I welcome suggestions for other ways to do it, of course.
