Thank you, much appreciated. I've tested that iso.

Whilst the install was successful, I had an initial set of crashes with
"IBus Preferences" closing unexpectedly.

This time round, I knew a bit more about /var/crash so had a look at the
files in there. That told me the full filename of the executable in
question ( /usr/libexec/ibus-x11 and I , in turn, used that as a parameter
for the ubuntu-bug command.
