simple scan

Since I did not receive a response yesterday I tried the "Document Scanner"
program and installed the driver.  After the driver was installed the scanner
worked.  Today I again tried the "Document Scanner" program it could not find
the scanner.  Yesterday it could find the scanner, today it can not find the
scanner, I think it is because not that the  driver is install it expects the
scanner to be connected to a USB port.  The scanner is an HP M277DW MFP
connected as a LAN wireless device.

Anyone have a recommendation for a scanner program that works with a wireless
scanner?
