No! If you want to use the stereo outputs on the rear panel, then BIOS
settings for the front panel don't matter, but you need an amplifier or
speakers with build in amplifiers, connecting passive speakers, IOW
speakers without amplification would only work for very small ones, that
are made for headphone outputs.
The manual isn't clear about it, but usually those green stereo output
jacks are aux jacks that could be used to connect to line inputs or for
plugging in a headphone.
Maybe you are using a HDMI display, if so, you might want to use the amp
and speakers of your HDMI display.
