Canon Pixma G3501 & *Ubuntu 18.04 LTS: though I CAN print, I CANNOT scan.

Hello again.


I have installed all the drivers from Canon, for my specific device.
When starting xsane, simple scan or skanlite from terminal, the
printer does start reacting; each package does identify the device.
However, these are the non-results. There are still connection
problems when trying to scan. On the other hand, printing is still no
problem.
See below.

Does anybody have a clue what to do next?
