Arch Linux has got a nice command to show the reverse dependency tree
of a package. Due to Arch's policy a dependency tree is clearer, than
dependency trees for Ubuntu packages are. Arch Linux very seldom does
split single sources from upstream into several packages, so a single
Arch package could be tens of Ubuntu packages.

Among other packages gtk2, gtk3, dconf, qt4, qt5-base and fltk depend on
glib2.
IOW removing it or replacing it by another version will break almost
all, if not all GUIs, but even non-GUI software, such as
midnight-commander hard depend on it in the first place.

The description of glib2 explains the reason for the amount of reverse
dependencies.

I need to shorten the reverse dependency tree, since it doesn't come
through the list:
