packages.u.c is really not the best source to look for packages, while
rhonda does actually a good job to screen-scrape the info off
launchpad, better use the authoritative page on launchpad itself that
is directly connected to the archive and build service (where the data
for packages.u.c coms from):

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glib2.0

the fact that you ended up with a "newer" version points out that you
seem to have/had some PPA enabled that you should make sure to have
disabled first, before re-installing/over-installing the correct
libglib from the archive ...
