Take a look at the changelog,
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/glib2.0/glib2.0_2.56.4-0ubuntu0.18.04.4.debian.tar.xz
, it contains several security related fixes, but also several
backport patches. I didn't check, if your issue is addressed, too. It's
up to you.
