Regarding https://gparted.org/features.php GParted can't grow or shrink
Apple File System (APFS).

"GParted supports the following actions on file systems:
File system|Detect |Read |Create |Grow |Shrink |Move |Copy |Check |Label |UUID
apfs |supported|not supported|not supported|not supported|not supported|supported|supported|not supported|not supported|not supported"

I thought he was trying to resize a Linux partition.
