My very early reply didn't pass moderation. It wasn't very long, but
perhaps still contains fish comments, however, my final resume was and
still is:

"If we can't trust some official Ubuntu packages, then mention
those packages and what explicitly is wrong with the content of those
packages."

;)

IMO anything else is irrelevant.
