If everything worked fine for a long time its doubtful the bios is the 
problem, however I always make sure the bios is the latest available. 
There can be bugs fixed in the bios versions, and they often make minor 
changes to make the system work better with various brands of ram.

In your case, the last bios released was Version 2101 released on 
2015/04/23. You would  need to see what version you have, and then read 
the instructions on how to flash.
