I forgot to mention configurations, where it also makes more sense if 0
is false, resp. if 0 is for "disable". However, even if know for
sure what 0 is for and what 1 is for, there still is a pitfall. If bar
gets enabled by disabling foo and foo gets enabled by disabling
"disabling foo".
So
disable foo = disable
would enable foo, due to the double negative.
I especially like bad designed GUIs with switches and buttons that
don't provide a clear self-explaining condition. IOW you don't know for
sure if the switch or button is in on or off position.
It's good that military computers and jumbo jet cockpit computers are
not designed by FLOSS developers ;). You unlikely would find anything
unclear, it's designed to be self-explaining clear for everybody, even
if the user should be in very bad order.
