resolv.conf questions

For what it's worth I have several xubuntu systems, some 18.04 and
some 19.04. On all of them the *contents* of /etc/resolv.conf are:-

    # Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by resolvconf(8)
    # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN
    # 127.0.0.53 is the systemd-resolved stub resolver.
    # run "systemd-resolve --status" to see details about the actual nameservers.

    nameserver 127.0.0.53
    search zbmc.eu

... and in all cases it's a link as follows:-

    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 Jan 18  2015 /etc/resolv.conf -> ../run/resolvconf/resolv.conf

Notice the date on this file, 2015 (and one of the others was even
2014). By the way zbmc.eu is the domain name of my system as seen
from the outside world.
