Well, I'd like to think so, but TBH, I'm baffled at the moment.
I don't know if you know that you can get at a web interface to CUPS
via your browser.
Just go to:
http://localhost:631/
Go to the "Administration" tab in the top bar.
You _might_ be able to see some more about what's going on there.
