Aha. Never been that far south, although I grew up in Nigeria. Mind
you, at the time, ~45 years ago, we didn't have telephones, let alone

I would like to tell you that this feeling fades, but after 30y of it,
I'm not sure it has. Just retreated a bit.

Well, I'd like to think so, but TBH, I'm baffled at the moment.

I don't know if you know that you can get at a web interface to CUPS
via your browser.

Just go to:

http://localhost:631/

Go to the "Administration" tab in the top bar.

You _might_ be able to see some more about what's going on there.
