Did you tell us how often it is happening?  I don't know whether you
suspend the PC but if you do then I think it will happen on resume.
Run
tail -f /var/log/syslog | grep -i modeline
and leave the terminal open.  See if it happens when you do something
in particular.

I am seeing a number of these each day, looking at the log, I am
running the command to see when it happens here.
