Second Display stopped working.

What happens if you unplug the second screen, wait ten seconds then
plug it back in again.  If it still doesn't work then unplug it, run
in a terminal
tail -f /var/log/syslog
and post what you see there when you plug it back in.  If you hit
enter a few times after starting the tail then you will get some blank
lines on the screen which makes it easier to see where you started.

Also tell us which version of Ubuntu you are using.
