Running 'sudo apt update' I've been seeing these errors for the past
few days:

AppStream system cache was updated, but problems were found: Metadata
files have errors: /var/cache/app-info/xmls/fwupd.xml

Reading package lists... Done

E: Problem executing scripts APT::Update::Post-Invoke-Success 'if
/usr/bin/test -w /var/cache/app-info -a -e /usr/bin/appstreamcli; then
appstreamcli refresh-cache > /dev/null; fi'

E: Sub-process returned an error code

I have appstreamcli version:

appstreamcli --version
AppStream CLI tool version: 0.10.6

Running sudo appstreamcli refresh --force gives me:

AppStream system cache was updated, but problems were found: Metadata
files have errors: /var/cache/app-info/xmls/fwupd.xml

The complete output of 'sudo apt update' is here:

sudo apt update

Running it a second time has different output and the errors have
disappeared:

10 packages can be upgraded. Run 'apt list --upgradable' to see them.

Should I just remove the /var/cache/app-info/xmls/fwupd.xml and run
'sudo apt update' again? And, if so will this rebuild the xml file?
