Yes: The linux devs can rescind their license grant. GPLv2 is a bare license and is revocable by the grantor.

I already replied to this on another mailing list [1]. This kind of
trolling only works during festive season, since a lot of people don't
spend that much time in maintaining their spam filters as they usually

It's no problem to filter this troll, the only "issue" (a minor issue)
is caused by subscribers who reply to it, since we don't want to filter
other prople, too.

Even while I'll not reply another time, IMO it's ok if some subscribers
want to talk about this troll, as long as they don't talk to the troll.
However, it still is better even not to talk about it.
