That should be:
apt full-upgrade
My personal "live dangerously" incantation is:
sudo apt update ; sudo apt full-upgrade -y ; sudo apt autoremove -y ;
sudo apt clean ; sudo apt purge
Ralf will probably pop up and scold me for using ``;'' instead of
``&&'', but my version saves a little bit of typing. The ``-y''
switches tell the commands to just do it and not ask me. The automatic
cleanup afterwards keeps my disk free space higher.
