Screen freeze

I tried this. This does not seem to clear the full screen photo.
Ctrl+Alt+anything does not work - I can't seem to get by the photo. It
seems to take over the screen. Comp is still running - I can see files
with another comp on the net. Even if I try to go back to the
original desktop with ctl-alt-arrow Geeqie is no longer visibly
responding to keys, and there is no mouse.
