You still didn't provide the information I was asking for.
"I'm trying to expand into sda6"?
Describe the actions you are doing, probably using gparted.
I try to delete sda6, but I get this error message "Full text of the
error message".
If you want to extend sda1 with the space from sda6, you first need to
delete sda6. After that the space above and below sda6 will become one
unallocated, but usable space, including the freed space of the deleted
partition. After that you could continue to shrink the size of the
extended partition and so on and so on, at last you could resize sda1
at the right site.
