What I didn't get, was the English phrase "take something out of the loop". 
Now I get it. I's sort of a pun.

That suggestion of yours sounds good. I've put it on my list of things to try.

My Fritzbox is a Fritz!Box 7490. It's stand-alone, no external modem.
