That's unfair, we now live in an era where no good software is produced 
anymore.

I liked BeOS when I saw it but I couldn't get it on my system by then.

I liked the innovation of the displaceable window handle (the tab) that 
would allow stacking of distinct windows.

I have not liked any innovation since.

That might sound crappy, but it's just the truth.

I have not witnessed a UI improvement in my lifetime apart from better 
graphics.

Yes but for netbooks it was actually a good idea, I can't repeat this 
enough.

Just not suitable for a bigger screen desktop... sorry.

Oh a netbook you hardly use the mouse etc. or you try to avoid using it.

But Android didn't do a bad job and I'm sure iPhone wasn't bad either.

The way Android worked on my older phone I consider that problem 
"solved".
