Weird screen flickering with Intel HD Graphics 5500

The problem seems to have disappeared by disabling `i915.enable_ips`, a 
power saving feature (which apparently doesn't save much energy anyway). 
Without the side effects of dropping to llvmpipe either, thankfully!
