system freezes

4.8 has the same problem.

It happens a lot when the system goes into standby (always) (monitor) 
and when using LibreOffice.

Ie. I worked all day without issues, now I start writing and I am in 
trouble.

The clock ran 10 minutes late and I missed an important mail sending.

Next opportunity will be monday, that's in 3 days, and to get it 
delivered on monday it will cost me about $30.

Betrayed again.

Maybe it's the graphics card, I don't know, but this is costing me.

It ran 10 minutes behind.

Then, when I return from the mailbox (too late) it is already 20 minutes 
behind, so it locked up again for 10 minutes while I was away.

nVidia driver doesn't have a framebuffer driver. Good solutions don't 
really exist, do they?

Unfortunately the rest of the world doesn't wait while my system is 
locked up.
