No sound on ubuntu 16.04

I get no sound and hp sound button stays red.

If I boot using a 16.04 live cd sound works perfect and hp sound button
shows white (enabled)

Could it be that driver got blacklisted?

aplay shows 4 devices and alsamixer show 2 devices.
