Good afternoon,
System information Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
I lost my hard drive (somehow it got erased COMPLETELY). I replaced it
with an older drive and did a restore from my backup.
I was successful in getting my home directories recovered. The system
reported that updates were needed, not surprising. ONWARD!
When I attempted to do the following:
sudo apt-get check && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
I get an error message:
...
286 upgraded, 34 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
1 not fully installed or removed.

dpkg: error processing package util-linux (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
util-linux
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
How do I recover???
Cheers,
Jay
