Neither did I until just now. It looks like the hardware can disable the
things that confound you and I, but alas, Ubuntu has yet to embrace them.

If you are a contributor, you can create something that'll open up the
wonders of the Dell touchpad to the OS for yourself and the rest of us. If,
like myself, you are not, you can but wait in hopeful expectation that such
a wonderful soul will sculpt these wonders into a future release.
