Actually I have headaches, balance loss, sounds in my head when I move
my eyes, involuntary foot stomping and now cataracts in both eyes, yea,
I'm a freaking mess :(
But that said, I appreciate all the replies to my one question and they
are very helpful. Way back earlier in this thread it was suggested that
I simply rename /usr/bin/tracker to tracker.org which 'should' make the
executable in /usr/local/bin be called on restart or log-out/in. I did
that and it appears to have worked:
chris at localhost:/var/log$ tracker status
Currently indexed: 10394 files, 773 folders
Remaining space on database partition: 349.4 GB (71.59%)
Data is still being indexed: Estimated 01m 07s left

The only reason I'm in /var/log is that I had to quickly start tail on
syslog to see if it worked.
