You don't, but there are a lot of people reading this list and maybe
one of them does have a need for sqlite replication...

Also, replication can be to anywhere - including to the same disk. It's
just a way of having two or more copies of a db that stay in close
synch with each other. No need to do massive copies all the time, both
copies are already in sync.
