problems upgrading from 14.04 to 16.04

If a release upgrade should work smoothly, then it must be done
without third party, proposed and other experimental repositories
enabled or packages installed.
Most likely there's the need to do what Tom suggested, or to do
something similar tricky, that hardly could be done automatically.

"Pin-Priority: 400", so you explicitly need to install packages from
this repository, IOW you should be aware, if you install a package from
this repository.
