Low Graphics Issue in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Thanks for the reply Liam.
Yes, Ubuntu is fully updated as well as desktop firmware.I have tried
Additional Drivers tool too find proprietary drivers but Intel HD Graphics
was not mentioned there.

Hmm. Strangr. What is the exact graphics chipset, please?
Is the machines' firmware fully updated?
Is Ubuntu fully updated?
Have you checked the "proprietary drivers" tool?
