PS:

Perhaps you are talking about just one sound device and IRQ issues. Ok,
if the device is e.g. onboard, so no other slot could be chosen, then
it still might be possible to unbind e.g. an unneeded USB port sharing
the IRQ. Sure, sometimes it's impossible to work around IRQ issues, but
this could happen for all hardware.
