Did the sound work on this particular machine before? If it did, are
you using the *exact* same hardware now?
How are you testing it - headphones, internal speakers, external
speakers...? Whatever you are trying, try something else as well.
If trying headphones, check that they work with a known good source. If
you have external speakers, make sure they have power (or new
batteries). If USB powered, power them from a known good USB power
source (eg a charger).
Whatever software you are using to play your sound, turn on
visualisation. If your software doesn't have visualisation, try playing
your sound through Totem instead, and turn on the visualisation in
that. This will tell you that the software is "seeing" the sound and
can play it.

If you can edit an email, you can bottom post. Start your quoted email,
delete all parts of the quote that are not needed, move the cursor to
below the quote, then start typing your reply. What email client are
you using on your Stylo?
