denying snap support "just because" wont happen in any distro.
arch developers explicitly sit in the snappy steering board to make
sure snaps work on arch, very simple, nothing more, nothing less ...
the rest is up to upstreams and users...
snaps are a try to overcome decades old issues and problems in the
linux ecosystem and are appreciated by many upstream devs because you
only need to create a very simple single file to create them and then
can forget about it completely.

so you think that a consortium handling the direction of snaps made up
by many distros and upstream projects makes it "an ubuntu thingy" ?
thats a weird view at the world ...
i agree though, it started to become an offtopic thing when you started
to badmouth snaps with unfounded claims based on half researched news-
site knowledge, lets stop it here or continue on the snapcraft list.
