you simply can not since name resolution isnt a ssh thing (it happens a
layer below in the OSI model) ... 

what you can do is to simply add your device to /etc/hosts on your
desktop ...

or if max2play supports something like avahi/bonjour, you could enable
annd configure that and use "ssh max2play.local"
