problems for installing software: What is the code that has to be sent to download and install software from Universe?

If you want to install software from the "Universe" repository:

Open the "Software and Updates" utility

Click on the "Ubuntu Software" tab

Make sure that the checkbox to the left of "Community-maintained free
and open-source software (universe)" is checked.

Click the "Close" button

You should now be able to install packages from the "Universe"
repository.

If the above checkbox is *already checked* then I don't understand what
you need, and you will have to provide more information about what you
are trying to do.
