Hi All According to various googles if you wish to use an editor with a GUI the command to invoke from a terminal should be gksudo gedit I had always just used sudo gedit anyway in an effort to "do it all correctly" I tried gksudo, only to find its not installed (by default ?) under 16.10 so should I get it or carry on as I have for all these years?
