Hi,

both exist, the package chromium-browser available by an official Ubuntu
repository provides the Chromium web browser. It is the open-source
version of Chrome. Chrome also runs on Linux, but you need to download
it from Google or use a third party repository, it's not provided by an
official Ubuntu repository.

I can't help with Unity launchers, but assumed you need to install it,
then open a terminal and run

  sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install chromium-browser

and/or perhaps

  sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install unity-chromium-extension 

maybe the latter is something you're missing. see suggested packages by
the Ubuntu package search:

  http://packages.ubuntu.com/wily/chromium-browser
