Ok, I agree it's overcautious to keep the apt cache and there very,
very, very unlikely ever is a reason to get a package from the cache,
as long as we've got good and fast access to the Internet and/or
backups.

I revoke my claim. Apart from a minimal, neglectable remaining risk,
there's nothing wrong with cleaning or auto cleaning the cache.
