Look, it would be really helpful if you could be more specific as to
*what* makes no difference. Did you run fsck on the root file system?

Something is seriously wrong with your system, post the output of these
commands:

dpkg-query -L libgbm1
dpkg --verify libgbm1

Also, install the package 'smartmontools' and run:
sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda

Look for indications of hardware problems in the output, like a high
value in Reallocated_Sector_Ct. Then examine the system logs.
