Stop using Windows.
Find other apps for watching TV or editing movies. These are hardly essential.
For the record, I don't believe that anyone is hacking into your PC
like this. If they were, logic clearly indicates that they would not
leave you hints that they were doing so. Real spies are not like James
Bond. They don't introduce themselves.
However, yes, Windows does contain features that phone home and send
information back to Microsoft, and these are difficult or impossible
to completely disable. Windows is also very vulnerable to malware
which can also expose your files to others.
Ubuntu is more secure. These problems will not affect you.
Which is more important to you: your privacy, or watching TV?
