Running Ubuntu 14.04
Ever since Firefox dropped the ability to ask if you wanted to accept or
reject cookies I have been looking for a replacement. Pale Moon has that
ability but on many pages it is really slow scrolling pages.
I started researching other browsers and found this info regarding
Opera: http://www.opera.com/help/tutorials/security/cookies/
According to that page there is a "ask me before accepting cookies"
setting. I downloaded and installed Opera vers 38. I have looked all
through the settings including the advanced settings and cannot find
that option.
Could anyone using Opera confirm that that option exists and how to use it.
Thanks, Jim
WS=> If you really concerned about privacy, you might also want to
consider the Large Storage Objects (LSO). There is a Firefox Add-on
called Ghostery that will delete all cookies and LSOs at the end of your
session. Also consider using the No-Script and Flash block add-ons.
Using the No-Script add-on, you might have to temporarily allow the
website permissions to make the website work properly. You would do
this only for websites that you really trust.
